Specifications/Plans for Police Department Reception Area & Ramp Reno

Pursuant to City of Alameda Ordinance No. 3154, Section 2-59.2 of the (amended) Alameda Municipal Code, on September 24, 2020, the City Engineer has approved the plans, specifications, and designs for this city public works project; the POLICE DEPARTMENT RECEPTION AREA AND RAMP RENOVATION PROJECT, No. P.W. 11-19-53.  

The bid opening date is MONDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2022.  All bids are due no later than 2 p.m. to the City Hall West, Public Works Department, Alameda Point, Building 1, 950 West Mall Square, where they will be accepted, and opened, in Room 110, Alameda, CA 94501.  The bid opening time is 2:01 p.m..

Pursuant to City of Alameda Ordinance No. 3154, Section 2-61.4 of the (amended) Alameda Municipal Code, Award of Contract to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder will be by City Council’s Authorization, and is presumed to be the evening of TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2022.

Printed or electronic copies of the plans, specifications, and contract documents, including the Project Manual, and/or any issued addenda, may be obtained from BPX Printing & Graphics located at 4903 Central Avenue, Richmond, CA 94804 for a non-refundable cost of $90 per set, exclusive of shipping and handling. Copies of the documents may be viewed and ordered at https://www.alamedaplanroom.com/ or by contacting BPX at (510) 559-8299 or at Richmond@bpxprinting.com. Please contact BPX for ordering or downloading questions. To ensure receipt of any subsequent communications (e.g., an Addenda), each prospective bidder is responsible for confirming that their firm appears on the BPX plan holders’ list.

Bidders are responsible for obtaining any and all changes to the plans, specifications, proposal forms, addenda, other project notifications, and documents during the bid process.

Any Addenda issued before the time in which to submit Bids expires shall form a part of the Contract Documents and shall be included in the Bid.  Bidders shall acknowledge and confirm receipt of any and all addenda in their Bid proposals.

Please note that the Alameda City Council encourages all contractors and other businesses providing services to the City to hire Alameda residents, pursuant to City Resolution No. 12278.

A mandatory prebid meeting and facility tour will be held on-site at the facility, the City of Alameda Police Department, 1555 Oak Street, Alameda, CA, 94501, at 10:00 am on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2022.  Participants for the prebid meeting will meet, outdoors, at the facility site main front entrance.  The PreBid Meeting is expected to last 30 minutes maximum.
