Littlejohn Park Rec. Bldg. Restoration, P.W. No. 11-21-39

The City of Alameda Public Works Department is soliciting Littlejohn Park Rec. Bldg. Restoration Project, No. P.W. 11-21-39.

The Project’s SCOPE OF WORK includes, but is not limited to:

Furnishing all labor, tools, equipment, materials, except as herein specified; and performing all work associated with the full interior and exterior restoration of the arson-fire damaged 1976-circa single story 1,265 sf CMU-framed Recreation Building project as contained in the Construction Documents and as generally described below:

The restoration of approximately 1,265 sf of interior space, plus associated Restroom and Support spaces, as well as the complete replacement of the roof and ceiling system and storage on the west side of the building. Additionally, façade repairs, window and glazing replacement, new appliances, casework, finishes, new HVAC system (w/ single-source BiPolar Ionization units incorporated as Bid Alternate No. 1) and electrical distribution scope – including Wi-Fi/Internet access (as Bid Alternate No. 2) - are incorporated into the project.

This Project is located in Littlejohn Park, in the City of Alameda, at 1401 Pacific Avenue, Alameda, CA 94501.

Approximate cost of construction (i.e.; ‘Engineer’s Estimate’): $900,000.

There is a mandatory on-site Pre-Bid Meeting scheduled for TUESDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2022, at 10:30 am. ALL bidders must attend. Prospective bidders will meet outside at the front entrance to the Recreation Building. A sign-in sheet will be issued, and shared, to record attendees.

To ensure receipt of any subsequent communications (e.g., an Addenda), each prospective bidder is responsible for confirming that their firm appears on the BPX plan holders’ list.

Bidders are responsible for obtaining any and all changes to the plans, specifications, proposal forms, addenda, other project notifications, and documents during the bid process. A bid is invalid if the Bidder has not deposited it at the designated location prior to the time and date for receipt of bids indicated in this Notice Inviting Bids or prior to any addendum extension thereof.
