NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Alameda will receive sealed bids until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 23, 2019 for Limited Wood Framing Repair at 431 Stardust Place, Alameda Point, Building Permit Record: B19-0882. Bids must be presented to Ms. Danielle Sullivan, City of Alameda Base Reuse and Community Development Department, 950 W. Mall Square, Suite 205, Alameda, CA 94501, under sealed cover, plainly marked on the outside as follows: “CITY OF ALAMEDA - SEALED BID FOR LIMITED WOOD FRAMING REPAIR, 431 STARDUST PLACE, ALAMEDA POINT, PROJECT NO. BRCD-HEAP MC #18062”.
All Bids received will be time and date stamped, in Room 227, and opened in Suite 205. Any bids received after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids shall be returned unopened.
The Work for the LIMITED WOOD FRAMING REPAIR PROJECT located at 431 STARDUST PLACE AT ALAMEDA POINT requires, but is not limited to the following: Compliance with standard terms under the Contractor Agreement by and between City of Alameda and Contractor, permits, materials, equipment, services, testing, inspections, temporary controls, construction notices and facilities, all General Conditions, General Requirements, incidentals and payments required to complete the following Scope of Work generally described below:
Implementation of pest control and treatment measures where required in accordance with referenced termite reports; provide all required permits to demolish, replace and / or repair dry rotted and termite damaged wood framing, epoxy fill, placement of structural, engineered, treated or kiln dried lumber with strong tie connectors, fabricated and welded structural steel plates; patching and painting as required to match; ADA facilities, accessible signage, striping, path of travel transition and conforms from parking lot to primary building entrance; in addition to providing assurance that all existing utilities, plumbing fixtures, HVAC and lighting systems are in place and operable for issuance of Certificate of Occupancy.
PRE-BID MEETING: A mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Project Site located at 431 Stardust Place, Alameda, CA 94501 at Alameda Point (Also known as the former City of Alameda Fire Training Facility or Building No. 522).
General Contractors who have received an invitation to bid are required to download and bring with them to the mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting a copy of the Plans and Specification which are available through the link below. Copies of the Plans and Specifications and associated documents will not be available at the mandatory Pre-Bid meeting. General Contractors who have received an invitation to bid will be required to sign in at the mandatory Pre-Bid meeting. The mandatory Pre-Bid meeting sign-in-sheet will be the means by which the City will issue any subsequent communication such as Addenda or response to questions. Bidders shall acknowledge and confirm receipt of any and all addenda in their Bid proposals.
