Deputy Chief Cody Moxley has served in the Fire Service for more than 20 years, beginning his career as a volunteer Firefighter and Paramedic for the County.  Chief Moxley was hired with the City of Alameda in 2002, and since then has promoted through each rank.  During his career he has been an active member of the Alameda Fire Department.  He was a member of the water rescue team, a fire boat operator, a member of the dive rescue team and the Wildland team.  As the Deputy Chief of Operations, his primary responsibilities include managing Emergency Operations and overseeing Fire Department personnel.  Other responsibilities include:  working with the Fire Chief carrying out the mission of the Alameda Fire Department, responding to major emergencies and other incidents as part of command staff or as Incident Commander.  Chief Moxley has direct oversight of the Training Division and Shift Chiefs, and the dispatch center (ACRECC) department representative.  Chief Moxley lives in the East Bay and enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.
