Availability and Reservations

LOCATION:  1450 High Street (Lincoln Park)
DAYS: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Holidays (No Tuesdays)
HOURS:  9:00 a.m. to half-hour after sunset

You may call the ARPD Rental Office at (510) 747-7576 during regular business hours to check availability.

In order to reserve the Bocce Ball Court, you must complete a Facility Use Permit Form and submit it with payment at least 7 business days prior to event and up to 6 months prior to your event.  Must be 21 years to obtain a permit.

  • NO Smoking in parks or within 20 feet of entrance or windows of buildings (Ordinance #3038)
  • NO Personal Barbeques.  There are charcoal barbecue grills available for use at the picnic sites.  Please leave charcoal in the public BBQ and ARPD Staff will dispose of it.
  • NO Amplified Music, P.A. Systems or Use of Air Horns
  • NO Nails, Tacks, Staples, Electrical Tape or Other Marring Materials are to be sued on any City property
  • All fees must be paid in full at the time the reservation is issued (no partial payments).
  • Acceptable forms of payment:  Cash, Checks (made payable to ARPD), American Express, Discover, MasterCard and VISA.
  • No changes allowed to your permit within 7 business days prior to event.


  • City of Alameda Resident Discount - A utility bill showing proof of residency and a picture ID is required to receive the discount

 Bocce Ball Court Rental Fees

$12 per hour with a 3-hour minimum on weekends
$12 per hour with a 2-hour minimum on weekdays

$32 per hour with a 3-hour minimum on weekends
$32 per hour with a 2-hour minimum on weekdays


Alcohol is only permitted inside the fenced area of the Bocce Ball Court and not allowed outside in the Park.  If you are planning to serve alcohol at your event, you must obtain a Certificate of General Liability Insurance by following this link:  The City of Alameda does not collect this fee and has no knowledge or authority when these fees change.  This must be completed at least 14 business days before your event, otherwise no alcohol will be allowed.

The Bocce Ball Courts are locked.  It is your responsibility to pick up and sign out the key by 5:00 p.m. on Friday for a weekend reservation.  If you are renting on a weekday, please pick up the key the day before by 5:00 p.m.  At the end of your permit time, please be sure to lock the gate after using.  No one outside your party is allowed to use this facility.  All keys must be turned in to the ARPD Office Mailbox Drop at the end of your event.

  • Cancellations:  $40 cancellation fee to cancel permit
  • Rainy Day Policy:  Please advise our Office on the first business day after your reservation if your bocce ball court rental was cancelled due to rain and you will receive a credit on your ARPD account.  No refunds.
