Earth Day - Mother Earth

Come celebrate the planet with us at Alameda's Earth Day Festival!  As part of the celebration, it is our goal to present simple lifestyle changes to help the environment.  Enjoy free activities for kids, Earth Day games and exhibits.  Learn about building a clean, healthy, sustainable world for generations to come.

  • Coastal Clean-Up (8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.):
    Start the day off by giving Earth a Spring Cleaning!  Click here to register for East Bay Regional Park District's Coastal Clean-Up at Robert Crown State Beach and then stay and enjoy our Alameda Earth Day event afterwards!
  • Bicycle Rodeo and Repair provided by Cycles Of Change - Instructors will guide students through Cycles' bicycle safety education curriculum.  Kids are encouraged to bring their bikes for both riding and fixing!
  • Enjoy FREE Activities For Kids
  • Earth Day Games
  • Petting Zoo
  • Pony Rides for a fee will be available
  • Educational Seminars
  • Biketopia Music Collective (12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m.) - Performing using a bicycle-powered sound system
  • Earth Day Songs by Adaptive Arts
  • Interactive Storytelling by Diomede O'Mulligan
  • Inclusive Sports Demo by Center For Independent Living (CIL)
  • Earth Day Art Show inside Washington Recreation Center

  • Don't forget to bring your water bottles or containers with you to our event to refill them from the ARPD Water Monster!
