Spring Teen Volunteer Program

This program is for tweens/teens who are interested in volunteering to work with youth at ARPD Parks and Playgrounds or RAP Programs during the Spring Session. The Teen Volunteer Program is a great opportunity to gain valuable job experience and satisfy school community service requirements.

How Do I Register?

Submit your completed application with $50 payment to:  Alameda Recreation and Park Department, 2226 Santa Clara Avenue, Alameda, CA 94501 no later than Thursday, March 14, 2019

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS PROGRAM

Download Teen Volunteer Application Form found on this website.  Complete and submit your application form along with your $50 fee (includes shirt and training materials) to ARPD no later than Thursday, March 14, 2019.

All applicants must participate in a group interview scheduled for:

  • Monday, March 18, 2019
  • 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Alameda Recreation and Park Main Office

Teens will not receive a confirmation or reminder for the interview.  Interviews do not guarantee acceptance into the Teen Volunteer Program.  It is the Tween/Teen's responsibility to show up to the interview and to show up on time.

Upon selection, all volunteers must attend a Mandatory Training on:

  • Thursday, March 21, 2019
  • 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Alameda Recreation and Park Department Main Office
