ARPD PROGRAMS FOLLOW ALL STATE AND COUNTY HEALTH PROTOCOLS
The Alameda Recreation and Park Department's Preschool offers a recreational program for children ages 3 to 5 years old (Pre-Kindergarteners entering Kindergarten the following fall). We follow the 4 basic building blocks of school readiness: Self-Care & Motor Skills, Self-Regulation & Social Expression, and finally K-Academics.
Attention Parents/Guardians:
- I.D. REQUIRED WHEN CHILD IS PICKED UP.
- Be sure your child is dressed appropriately for outdoor activities.
- Please have your child bring a water bottle to class.
- NO BACKPACKS. If you wish to pack the “just in case” clothes, put them in a plastic bag with child’s name clearly written on bag. They will be kept for the session.
- If you prefer to provide your child with his/her own snack, place it in a plastic bag with his/her name clearly written on bag. Otherwise we will provide a snack. We will be following the health code rules in handling food safely.
Please provide details regarding your child's medical needs and/or any physical, emotional or developmental disabilities he/she may have. Safety is of the utmost importance for all ARPD participants. Providing ARPD with this information is necessary so that we may determine if and how we can safely support your child. Accommodations are made on a case-by-case basis with a Program Supervisor.
