City Seeks Proposals for Public Art

The City of Alameda released a new request for proposals (RFP) for Cultural Art and Arts programming. This includes grants for the performing arts, literary arts, film & video, education, and special events. There is a total of $20,000 available, to be distributed in grants up to $5,000.


The RFP is available on the City’s website ( The City will host an RFP Orientation on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue, third floor. Proposals are due September 13, 2018, and the selection process is expected to take place in the fall/winter of 2018.


All cultural arts programming must be free, publically accessible, and located in the City of Alameda.

"The American Landscape" will be a free, multidisciplinary choral event bringing together both visual and performing arts on the theme of the American Landscape.
