COVID-19 Testing Locations 

  • PCR testing services are available in Alameda with NextGen Laboratories. Make an appointment or walk-up today.

  • Free rapid tests can be ordered from the federal government and they will be shipped directly to your residence. You can also order by phone at 1-800-232-0233 (TTY 1-888-720-7489) from 5am to 9pm with multiple languages available. Insurance companies are now required to reimburse for up to 8 at-home tests per person per month. Check with your insurance company directly to get more information. 

  • Free COVID-19 testing is available at Alameda County Community Testing Sites or find a Testing Event near you. 

  • CityHealth offers drive-thru testing at North Field near Oakland Airport. Make an appointment. 

  • If you have medical insurance, your doctor/healthcare provider can help you with additional testing options. 

AUSD Staff & Student Testing

  • The Alameda Unified School District (AUSD) provides free voluntary staff and student COVID-19 testing by walk-in only. Click here for more information, including testing times and locations.
  • AUSD also offers regular testing at its elementary schools.
