  • Alameda County Central Committee members
  • State Prop 1: funding for mental health treatment facilities and housing for the homeless
  • County Measure A: notification period of civil service exams
  • County Measure B: adopts state law recall procedures in Alameda County 
  • City Measure E: supports all Alameda students and maintains the quality of schools without increasing tax rates

 

There are 3 official ballot drop boxes in the City of Alameda (any Alameda County voter can drop off their ballot at any official drop box 24/7, until 8pm on Election Day):

  • Alameda City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Ave
  • College of Alameda, 555 Ralph Appezzato Memorial Parkway
  • Bay Farm Island Library, 3221 Mecartney Road

There are 6 Accessible Voting Locations in the City of Alameda (any Alameda County voter can vote at any accessible voting location March 2-4, 9am-5pm, and on Election Day, Tuesday, March 5, 7am-8pm):

  • South Shore Center: 2130 Otis Drive (near Office Max)
  • College of Alameda: 555 Ralph Appezzato Memorial Parkway
  • 1st Congregational Church of Alameda: 1912 Central Avenue
  • Bohol Circle Incorporated: 1815 Union Street
  • California Historical Radio Society: 2152 Central Avenue
  • Independence Plaza: 703 Atlantic Avenue (open for 11 days, starting February 24)

Alameda County Registrar of Voters Office (open to all Alameda County voters Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm, through March 5):

  • 1225 Fallon Street, Room G-1, Oakland

PLEASE NOTE, these are the only official options in the City of Alameda to submit your ballot. Beware of people you do not know if they indicate they can officially accept your ballot -- it could be a scam! 

All registered voters in the City of Alameda have been mailed a Vote by Mail ballot. Complete your ballot, sign the envelope, and vote by Election Day, March 5!

  • Three official drop boxes are installed in Alameda and you can drop off your ballot 24/7, until 8pm on March 5
  • Six accessible voting locations will be open in Alameda three days before Election Day, March 2, March 3, March 4 (open 9am-5pm), and on Election Day, March 5 (open 7am-8pm)
  • Accessible voting is available at the Registrar of Voters office in Oakland, 1225 Fallon Street, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm, through Election Day
  • Apply here by February 27 to replace a lost, never received, or damaged Vote by Mail Ballot
  • Same Day Voter Registration is available at polling locations and at the Alameda County Registrar of Voters

If you are voting by mail, ballots must be postmarked by Election Day and must be received no later than March 12. No postage needed.

  • There are 3 ways to return your Vote by Mail ballot:
  1. Drop off at a Vote by Mail official ballot drop box
  2. Drop off at any Accessible Voting Location March 2, 3, 4, and on Election Day March 5
  3. Return by mail. Envelopes must be signed, postmarked by Election Day, and received by March 12. No postage required.
