On Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 2:00 PM Alameda Free Library invites you to an author talk with Julia Park Tracey, award-winning journalist, essayist, and past Alameda Poet Laureate.

The author’s latest book, The Bereaved, is based on the author’s research into her grandfather’s past as an adopted child, and the surprising discovery of his family of origin and how he came to be adopted. Julia Park Tracey has created a mesmerizing work of historical fiction illuminating the darkest side of the Orphan Train.

The event will be hosted by the Alameda Free Library, at the Main Branch in the Stafford Room. Refreshments will be available for purchase at the Friends Cafe.

Please join us on September 23rd at 2:00 PM. We look forward to seeing you.
