Alert: Traffic Delays

Date: October 2, 9-11am
Local organizers are bringing the Women's March to Alameda and all community members are welcome to participate! Start gathering at 9am at Washington Park and the March will begin at 10am, travel down Central, and end at 11am in front of City Hall for a program with music and speakers. More information: https://act.womensmarch.com/event/oct-2-2021-march/1884      

If you do not plan on participating, please avoid Central when you are out and about to help keep everyone safe.

Dates: Ongoing, 9am-3pm 
On 8th Street, between Lincoln and Haight, only one-lane is open for both directions of travel to allow for substantial construction taking place by PG&E. 

Dates: Staring August 23, ongoing
More information: On Lincoln between Walnut and Park, there will be lane reductions for sewer rehabilitation work. Please use caution in the work zone and follow detours as needed.

Alert: Airport Noise

Taxiway Bravo Rehabilitation Project at OAK
Dates: Phase II, September 25-October 4 
More information: During this phase, the temporary Taxiway Bravo construction closure will likely result in approximately 40 to 50 daily corporate jet departures off North Field, as well as up to approximately 20 daily cargo jet departures off North Field. Most of the daily corporate jet departures will occur during daytime hours. Approximately half of the cargo jet departures, including FedEx, will occur during Quiet Hours (10pm-7am).

More information: Blue Angel operations are anticipated off the North Field during many of the times listed below so residents off the departure end of Runways 28L/28R will experience an increased level of noise. On arrival, Blue Angel aircraft typically perform a "carrier break," which generally brings the aircraft overhead of the airfield after which time they will initiate a descending 270 degree right turn towards the runway. Residents immediately north and east of the airport will experience an increased level of noise from these arrivals.

  • Wednesday, 10/6: 10am-5pm Media flights (South Field, Main Runway) 
  • Thursday, 10/7: 1-5pm Airshow practice (North Field) 
  • Friday, 10/8: 10am-4pm Airshow flights (North Field) 
  • Saturday, 10/9: 11am-4pm Airshow flights (North Field) 
  • Sunday, 10/10: 11am-4pm Airshow flights (North Field) 
  • Monday, 10/11: 10am Blue Angels departure (North Field) 

Alert: Face masks required by everyone indoors in public places

More information: Bay Area health orders require masks indoors in public places for all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, with limited exceptions, starting at 12:01 am on August 3, 2021.
