Community Meetings

The APD will host an All-Island Community Beat Meeting in Summer 2026. This meeting will begin with a citywide crime overview, providing community members with a comprehensive update on public safety trends across the island.

Following the overview, attendees will break out into their specific beats to meet directly with beat officers and discuss crime trends, concerns, and strategies unique to their neighborhoods.

Community Office Hours

In advance of the all-island beat meeting, community members are encouraged to connect with their Watch Commanders during quarterly casual Community Office Hours. These informal sessions provide an opportunity to ask questions, share concerns, and build relationships with your local police leadership. All Community Office Hours are family-friendly. We welcome residents of all ages to come out, engage in conversation, check out a book from the library, explore a park, or discover a local business.
