The Alameda Free Library is hosting “Reading Reflections,” a winter reading challenge over the month of December. Readers are challenged to read for five hours and complete five activities from December 1-31, logging their progress at alamedafree.beanstack.org. All ages are welcome to participate and all reading counts, including listening to audio books and reading aloud to someone else. Once you complete the challenge, you will be able to make a completion badge and share it with friends and family.
The end of the year marks a wonderful time to reflect on thing things you have experienced and learned throughout the past 12 months. Whether you’re celebrating the holidays with friends and family or enjoying some quiet time alone, take a moment to cozy up with a good book and set an intention for the coming year.
This free program is made possible through the generosity of the Friends of the Alameda Free Library. The Main Library is located at 1550 Oak Street and is wheelchair accessible. The Main Library is served by AC Transit routes 21 and 51A. Bicycle parking racks are available at the library.
