Posey Tube (State Route 61) Full Overnight Closures for Maintenance Work Dec. 14-16

ALAMEDA COUNTY — Caltrans has scheduled to close the Posey Tube (State Route 61) overnight Tuesday, Dec. 14, 15 and 16, reopening the next morning. The purpose of  the closures is to perform tunnel maintenance. The tube will be closed overnight only.

The tube will be open during the daytime. The three overnight closures will begin at 10 p.m. and end at 5 a.m. the next morning.

The Webster Tube will remain open.

Traffic Control Measures:

Changeable message and directional signs are in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be at the site during the closures.
