RFP: Americans with Disabilities Act Self-Evaluation & Transition Plan

The City of Alameda is soliciting proposals from qualified professional firms to compile and implement a comprehensive Americans with Disabilities Act Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan for City programs, facilities, parks, parking lots, streets, intersections and sidewalks. This Request for Proposals seeks to secure the most qualified consultant to perform field investigations within the City right-of-way and of City facilities, evaluate City policies and programs, and prepare an ADA Transition Plan in order to identify obstacles limiting accessibility, describe methods to improve accessibility, and specify a schedule for achieving ADA compliance.

Please note that the Alameda City Council encourages all consultants and other businesses providing services to the City to hire Alameda residents, pursuant to City Resolution No. 12278.
