Posey Tube (SR-61) Walkway Re-Opens To

Cyclists and Pedestrians July 23

 

ALAMEDA COUNTY, Calif. — The walkway inside the Posey Tube (State Route 61) is scheduled to re-open to cyclists, pedestrians and the general public the afternoon of Thursday, July 23.

The walkway closed in mid-April to accommodate maintenance tube work. Caltrans provided free shuttle service by Bay Star Shuttle to the public during the closure. The shuttle service is now discontinued.

Caltrans thanks members of the public for their patience during the three months the pedestrian walkway was closed.
