REMINDER: Webster Tube (State Route 61) Overnight Closures For Maintenance Work January 4 and 5, 2022

ALAMEDA COUNTY — Caltrans has scheduled full overnight closures of the State Route 61 Webster Tube on January 4 and 5, 2022. The Webster and Posey tubes connect the cities of Alameda and Oakland.

The Webster Tube will be closed overnight January 4 and 5, with each closure beginning at 10 p.m. and lasting until 5:00 a.m. the following morning. The tube will be open in the daytime. The purpose of the closures is to accommodate maintenance work. Work will be postponed if it rains.

The Posey Tube will remain open.

Traffic Control Measures:

Changeable message and directional signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be at the sites during the closures.
