A Heat Advisory is in place for September 9-10, 2026. The following cooling centers will be available for our community: the main library, bay farm, and west end will be open from 1000 to 1800; Mastic Center from 1000-1700 (if needed, may be extended); Main Library will extend hours until 1900 for the Stafford Room only (the library will be closed).
A Planning Board public forum to consider the Article 26 land use regulations in the City Charter is scheduled for the regularly scheduled Planning Board meeting of January 13, 2020. Download the staff evaluation(PDF, 539KB) of the land use regulations, which was published on December 9, 2019, to ensure that the Planning Board and the public have adequate time to review.
