Alameda 4th of July Parade

Alameda's 4th of July Parade is the longest in the nation with a route that spans 3.3 miles, attracting more than 150 entries and 2,500 participants. The Parade draws over 60,000 spectators from the region and entries include a full spectrum of Bay Area residents, including equestrians, dance troops, floats, antique cars, community groups, transported and marching bands from both the community and local schools, and more!

Join us for a unique run along a closed course to kick off the 2025 July 4th Parade!

The 5K run (3.1 miles) and walk takes you through beautiful Alameda starting at 8:30 am - just before the historic 4th of July Parade.  This run benefits the Midway Shelter of Alameda.

The run will start at 8:30 am this year to provide ample space between our runners and the Parade that follows.  July 4th Race Morning Registration opens at 7:30 am at Laurens Closet, 1420 Park Street, Alameda (Race Start)

ROAD CLOSURES:
All vehicles must be cleared from the Parade Route by 4:00 am on July 4th.

Streets will begin closing at 7:00 am along the Parade Route unless you are an Official Vehicle or in the Parade itself.
