Cram a Cruiser Weekend

In support of the Alameda Education Foundation's Backpack Drive for 820 homeless, formerly homeless, and low-income K-12 students, the Alameda Police Department will be hosting its 2nd annual “Cram a Cruiser” weekend.

APD patrol cruisers will be parked in front of OfficeMax (2160 Otis Drive) Saturday, July 20, and Sunday, July 21, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM where APD employees and volunteers will be accepting donations.

All donations will be sorted and filled into backpacks so all students can be equipped for a successful school year.

Don’t know what to donate? You can purchase a premade grab bag prepared by Office Max during the event or drop off any of the requested items:

  • Binders – 1” hardcover, 3 ring
