for a Community Forum (Charrette) to help shape our future

We need your input.

The Peralta Community College District (PCCD) is in the process of updating the District Strategic Plan and the Educational Master Plans (EMPs) for Berkeley City College, College of Alameda, Laney College, and Merritt College. As part of this effort, the District will be hosting a Community Forum, known in academia as a Charrette. The Community Forum aka Charrette will feature a presentation describing the current state of education within the District, along with information on employment and community trends that will likely influence our decision-making. We will also have a series of facilitated discussions that allow for active participation by all attendees.

We are bringing together a wide group of participants for an active, hands-on discussion to help us determine college and district priorities for the next five years that are responsive to the needs of our students, regional employers, and the community as a whole.

Please join us! Attendees will include representatives from faculty, classified staff, administration, and students. We are also seeking participation from representatives from the business community, elected officials, K–12 education, and other current and future partners. We are looking forward to having you involved in these discussions and hope you will be available to participate on November 10, 2022.
