Alameda Restaurant Week Kicks Off “World Cup Edition” to Celebrate the Island’s Global Flavors and Local Spirit

9th Annual Event Returns March 20–29, 2026, Featuring 65 Eateries from East to West

Inspired by the global excitement of the 2026 World Cup, Alameda’s premier culinary event is bringing the spirit of international competition to the local dining scene. Alameda Restaurant Week returns for its 9th year from March 20-29, 2026, showcasing diverse flavors from across the island with a “World Cup” twist.

With the United States set to co-host the World Cup in June 2026, the Oakland Roots and Soul Training Facility in Alameda has been selected as the official home base for the Australia National Football Team. Alameda Restaurant Week kicks off our community's excitement that the Socceroos are coming all the way to our island from the is-land down under.

“We’re excited to support the City of Alameda’s Restaurant Week. Our restaurants are such a big part of what makes Downtown Alameda feel welcoming and vibrant, and this is a great excuse to get out, try a new spot (or revisit an old favorite), and show some love to the local businesses that keep our district thriving. We hope the community comes hungry and ready to explore," — Kathy Weber, Executive Director, Downtown Alameda

“From donuts to dumplings, bar food to pizza, the West End is where great food and community come together. Alameda Restaurant Week celebrates the local flavors that make our island unique and is proof that West End dining is alive and thriving.” — Elissa Glickman, Executive Director, West Alameda Business Association
