City of Alameda Launches 12 Days of Alameda Holiday Campaign
Published on November 28, 2025
The City of Alameda, in partnership with the West Alameda Business Association (WABA) and the Downtown Alameda Business Association (DABA), is proud to announce the launch of 12 Days of Alameda — a citywide holiday campaign inviting residents and visitors to shop, dine, and celebrate locally this season.
Running from Small Business Saturday, November 29, through Wednesday, December 10, 12 Days of Alameda spotlights the shops, makers, and restaurants that give the island its creative energy and small-town charm. Each of the 12 days highlights a different theme — from dining and home décor to wellness, pets, and art — celebrating the diversity of Alameda’s local businesses.
Throughout the campaign, shoppers can collect tickets at participating businesses as supplies last. Those tickets become entries to win one of 12 giveaways, each filled with gifts from local merchants and experiences that highlight the best of Alameda.
“12 Days of Alameda captures the creative spirit and collaboration that make our island shine,” said Elissa Glickman, Executive Director of the West Alameda Business Association. “It’s been a meaningful collaboration with the City and our fellow business district, celebrating the shops, restaurants, and makers who bring color and heart to Alameda. Supporting local keeps that spirit alive, and our community thriving.”
“When we shop, dine, and celebrate locally, we’re not just enjoying the season—we’re directly supporting the small businesses and people who make Alameda such a vibrant and welcoming place year-round,” said Kathy Weber, Executive Director of the Downtown Alameda Business Association. “12 Days of Alameda is a shining example of what happens when our businesses and the City come together to celebrate local—through the holidays and beyond.”
The campaign represents a collective effort between the City’s Economic Development and Communications Department, WABA, and DABA to strengthen community connections, boost local commerce, and showcase the creativity that defines Alameda.
