Power Outage Alert

Published on August 14, 2020

OUTAGE UPDATE: We've been instructed by the California Independent System Operator that the grid has stabilized. All power has been restored in the west end and there will be no further outages tonight.

Due to the hot weather and energy demand, the CA Independent System Operator has instructed AMP to begin rolling blackouts. We have started the first blackout affecting 3,200 customers in the southwest end of Alameda. The blackout will last about an hour before we restore power and move to another section of Alameda. The next section that we will rotate the outage to is mid-island west of Sherman.
