Cooper Teare Classic Running Event 10 Miler/8k

Saturday, August 8th, 6am-11am 

On Saturday, August 8, 2026, the 6th Annual Cooper Teare Classic Alameda 10 Miler and 8k will take to the streets of Alameda with approximately 700 participants.

The running event will showcase the various views along Alameda primarily using Shoreline Drive, Park Street, San Jose Avenue, Grand Street, and Otis Drive. The race will start at 7:00 am at Crown Memorial Beach Park at Otis Drive and Westline Drive, and finish at the same location.

The streets listed below will be impacted for the following times.  Roads will have signage to assist in directing traffic. Intersections will have course monitors to guide runners, and Alameda Police will be at major intersections to control traffic.

6:00 AM - 9:00 AM Park St Shoreline Dr to San Jose Ave  Center "turn" lane closed
 Northbound and Southbound directions will stay open
6:30 AM - 9:30 AM San Jose Ave Park St to Grand St  Westbound direction closed to traffic
 Eastbound direction will stay open
7:00 AM - 10:00 AM San Jose Ave Grand St to San Antonio Ave  Eastbound direction closed to traffic
 Westbound direction will stay open
7:00 AM - 10:00 AM San Antonio Ave Morton St to Caroline St  Eastbound direction closed to traffic
 Westbound direction will stay open
7:00 AM - 10:00 AM Grand St San Jose Ave to Otis Dr  Southbound Bike Lane closed only
 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM Otis Dr Grand St to Westline Dr  Westbound Bike Lane closed only
