Webster Tube (State Route 61) Overnight Closures for Maintenance Work

ALAMEDA COUNTY — Caltrans has scheduled overnight closures of the Webster Tube (State Route 61) on Friday October 3rd and Saturday October 4th 10:00PM to 4:30AM each night, for tunnel painting and maintenance. The closures will take place overnight, and the tube will remain open during the daytime.

Closure Details
• Friday, October 3, 2025 – 10:00 PM to 4:30 AM
• Saturday, October 4, 2025 – 10:00 PM to 4:30 AM

Traffic Control & Detour Information
• Changeable message and directional signs will be in place to assist drivers.
• The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be onsite to support traffic management.

Important Notes
• The tunnel will remain open during the daytime hours; closures are nighttime only.
• Work is weather dependent.
