The Project includes, but is not limited to, performing the following Work:
1. Furnishing all labor, tools, equipment, materials, except as herein specified; and doing all work associated with the closure and abandonment of one (1) 6,000-gallon gasoline single walled UST and two (2) 1,000-gallon diesel single-walled USTs and the procurement and installation of one (1) new double-walled gas/ diesel Above ground Fuel Storage Tank (AST). The new AST will be located inside the covered vehicle wash bay at the City of Alameda Maintenance Service Center, located at 1616 Fortmann Way, Alameda, CA 94501.Associated work includes the installation of new double-walled fuel piping, two (2) new gas and diesel dual-hose fuel dispensers, new tank level monitor, new AST-mounted fill bucket, new steel bollards, new ceiling-mounted light fixtures, and concrete pad/ site work. Other work includes the demolition and removal of existing single-walled fuel piping, vehicle wash equipment, three (3) fuel dispensers, UST fill buckets and covers, and all wall- and ceiling-mounted light fixtures inside the fuel island/ vehicle wash building.
2. Furnish all labor, tools, equipment, materials, except as herein specified and doing all work associated with the closure, excavation and disposal of one (1) 6,000-gallon diesel UST and the procurement and the installation of one (1) new UST in the driveway behind the Alameda Police Department. The existing concrete slab below the UST will remain in place. The Alameda Police Department Administration Building is located at 1555 Oak Street, Alameda, CA 94501.This UST provides fuel for the building’s emergency backup generator, which must remain operational during construction. A portable generator will be installed in-place prior to the start of construction. Associated work includes the installation of engineered shoring inside the excavation, new double-walled fuel piping, new tank level monitor, new fuel fill bucket, new generator day tank, concrete site work, and parking stall striping.
Other work includes the demolition and removal of existing single-walled fuel piping, tank level monitor, fuel fill bucket, generator day tank, and the removal of asphalt and concrete paving in the area of work.
Contractor to secure all required permits from the Alameda County Department of Environmental Health (the local CUPA) prior to tank closure and/ or removal. Per State regulatory requirements, all existing single-walled Undated to be closed prior to December 31, 2025. There are no exceptions.

Bidders are responsible for obtaining any and all changes to the plans, specifications, proposal forms, addenda, other project notifications, and documents during the bid process. A bid is invalid if the Bidder has not deposited it at the designated location prior to the time and date for receipt of bids indicated in this Notice Inviting Bids or prior to any addendum extension thereof.
