Alameda CERT Training Program: Empowering Our Community

The Community Emergency Response Team program provides training to Alameda residents and employees of Alameda businesses to help increase self-sufficiency in the event of a disaster. Participants learn skills that will enable them to provide emergency assistance to their families and neighbors.

We're excited to announce that the Alameda CERT training is back with a new and improved hybrid format! This program is designed to help Alameda residents and employees of local businesses increase their self-sufficiency in the event of a disaster. By participating, you will gain valuable skills to assist your family, neighbors, and community in emergency situations.

What's New?

Our new hybrid Basic CERT training program makes it easier than ever to get involved. Here's what you can expect:

  • Introduction via Zoom: Learn about the Alameda CERT program, local hazards, and city preparedness from the comfort of your own home.
  • Self-Paced Online Training: Get started on the new California online “Basic CERT” training course at your own pace.
  • Hands-On Skills Weekend: Once you’ve completed the online curriculum, join us for an action-packed weekend of in-person, hands-on skills training and a final exercise to put your new knowledge into practice.

Whether you’re a longtime resident or new to the community, this program is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference. Sign up today and take the first step toward becoming a vital part of Alameda’s emergency response network.
