Come bring your fresh ideas to plan fun activities for teens.

Alameda Youth Committee (AYC) is currently recruiting members who are currently in 6th to 12th Grades for the 2024-2025 School Year.

AYC is seeking MOTIVATED & RESPONSIBLE teens who would like to get hands-on experience with volunteerism, leadership and event planning.  The AYC Leadership Board which consist of existing members will run the committee meetings; however there will be a significant emphasis on team building and fun social acitvities.

We are looking for serious teens to use their voice and plan fun events during the school year for their peers and the teen community; work in the AYC Food Booth at various community events.  Use your creativity and initiative to make a positive difference in Alameda. 
1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month starting September 4, 2024 to May 21, 2025
 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Veteran's Building, 2203 Central Avenue, Room 390, Alameda
Members are required to attend meetings regularly, unless otherwise excused.  Special Meetings may be called by the Leadership Board, provided at least three (3) days notice is given to all AYC Members. 
After a certain amount of unexcused meeting absences, teens forfeit any and all hours accumulated.  AYC hours count towards school community service requirements.  Hours include some weekends for community events.
