The 2026 to 2027 School Year
RAP provides supervised play and experience-based activities for children in all-day kindergarten through 5th grade. Children spend their afternoons playing, creating, connecting with friends, and building confidence.

Eligibility & Schools
RAP is available to children enrolled in all-day kindergarten through 5th grade at the following schools: Bay Farm, Earhart, Edison, Franklin, Love, Maya Lin, Otis, Paden, and Ruby Bridges.
Otis Students
For the 2026–2027 school year, Otis students will be picked up from the temporary Lum Campus by ARPD staff and transported to Krusi Park (3001 Otis Drive) by City vehicle.
Otis students will have different program fees because of the additional transportation. The 5-Day Option is available only to Otis students for the 2026–2027 school year.

Fees & Registration
For the Fall Session, a $50 non-refundable deposit is required at registration.

3-Day Option
Choose your 3 regular days when you register. These days remain the same for the full session. A $20 administrative fee applies to changes. You may request additional days during the session for $25 per day. Payment must be made at least 48 business hours in advance. Regular unused days cannot be exchanged for additional days.
Registration Help
If you are unable to register online, download the RAP Registration Form complete it with your payment information, and email it to to arpd@alamedaca.gov. We are unable to process RAP registration over the phone.
Participant Information
Program details may change based on the AUSD calendar or other circumstances. We will communicate any changes to families.
Please share information about your child’s medical, physical, emotional, developmental, or behavioral needs that will help RAP staff get to know your child and support their experience in the program.
Attendance & Pick-Up
Please read the RAP Parent Handbook and keep it handy for reference. It includes important information about attendance, pick-up, and other program policies.
Attendance
Please contact ARPD staff before 11:00 AM if your child will not attend RAP. Include your child’s first and last name and school. Please note, RAP does not offer refunds, credits, or make-up days for absences.

Pick-Up
Please plan to pick up your child by 5:30 PM. Children may be picked up by a parent or authorized person listed on the registration form. Children may walk or bike home with parent or guardian permission noted on the registration form. If your pick-up plans change, please contact ARPD.
Late Pick-Up
Please plan to pick up your child by 5:30 PM. A $1-per-minute late fee applies to pick-ups after 5:30 PM and will be added to your ARPD online account. If you’re running late, please contact ARPD as soon as possible.
Repeated late pick-ups may result in additional fees or removal from the RAP program. If your child has not been picked up by 6:00 PM, Alameda Police will be contacted to help ensure their safety.
