A minimum of 8 students must be registered at a school in order to be a RAP Pick-Up Site

RAP is our supervised Recreation After School Program available to children who are enrolled in ALL-DAY KINDERGARTEN THROUGH 5TH GRADES for the following schools:  BAY FARM, EARHART, EDISON, FRANKLIN, LOVE, MAYA LIN, OTIS, PADEN AND RUBY BRIDGES

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 20, 2025 TO THURSDAY, JUNE 4, 2026
ONLINE REGISTRATION STILL AVAILABLE FOR ANY REMAINING SPOTS AVAILABLE.  All new and returning participants are eligible to register

If you are unable to access our online registration system, download the RAP Registration Form (fillable) and return to:  arpd@alamedaca.gov.  In order for us to process your registration, we will need your credit card information.  Phone registration is not available for RAP.
If your child's RAP site is full, add your child's name to the waiting list.  We may be able to open up additional spaces as we get closer to the start of the school year. IMPORTANT:
 Before RAP Program can begin at a school site, WE MUST HAVE 8 STUDENTS REGISTERED.  If we do not meet our minimum number, there is a possibility that our RAP Program for that school may be delayed or cancelled.
2025 FALL SESSION:
 You will be required to pay a Non-Refundable Deposit of $25 upon registration.

The remaining session fee will then be split into two Auto-Payments to be charged on July 2nd and October 1st.  If you register after July 2nd, you will be charged the $25 and the first Auto-Payment.		 2026 WINTER & SPRING SESSIONS:
In order to continue in RAP for the remainder of the school year, you will need to renew your child's registration online.  Parents will be notified by email and given a limited time period when these sessions are open for renewals.

You will only be able to register online if your child is enrolled in the previous session.  For these two sessions, you will have the choice to pay the Single Payment or pay two Auto-Payments.  If a site has availability and you were not registered for the previous session, please contact ARPD Staff at arpd@alamedaca.gov.
All RAP Program details are subject to change (i.e., AUSD calendar changes, etc.).  Please provide any details regarding your child's medical needs and/or any physical, emotional or developmental disabilities he/she may have

RAP meets every school day at dismissal time, including modified or early dismissal school days and ends at 5:30 pm.  
THERE IS NO RAP CARE ON SCHOOL HOLIDAYS OR NON-SCHOOL DAYS
AUSD provides us with the early and modified day schedule before the year beings and we plan accordingly

ALL-DAY KINDERGARTNERS WILL BE PICKED UP AT THEIR CLASSROOMS; PLEASE PROVIDE ROOM NUMBER
*Earhart 1st Graders will be picked up just outside their classrooms

REMINDER:  RAP Staff are not able to return back to school to pick up late children.  No special arrangements can be made to accommodate children who are late coming back from field trips, attending after school enrichment programs, detention, etc. 
 All participants will walk back to the park as a group with the RAP Leaders.  Any kids with bikes, scooters, skateboards or roller blades MUST walk or carry them and obey all traffic laws on the way to the park. Be sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather.

 

You must contact ARPD Staff BEFORE 11:00 AM if your child/children will not attend RAP for any reason

Be sure to include your child/children's first and last name(s) and school attending by:
NO REFUNDS, CREDITS OR MAKE-UPS ARE ALLOWED FOR ANY DAYS YOU MISS
RAP fees DO NOT cover cost or enrollment for any non-school vacation camps.  (Camp enrollments require separate forms and fees)

 

Children should be checked out at the table near your RAP site's Recreation Center door.  ONLY THOSE PEOPLE ON THE AUTHORIZED PERSON(S) LIST WILL BE ALLOWED TO CHECK CHILDREN OUT OF RAP.  The RAP Program ends at 5:30 pm at all RAP sites.  Parents or other authorized persons must be prompt in picking up their children.  Children may walk or bike home if parents have indicated that have permission on the registration form, including departure time. 
NOTE:  ONCE A CHILD/CHILDREN SIGNS SELF OUT, THEY MAY NOT RETURN TO RAP.  They are checked out for the day.  Changes in pick-up arrangements must be communicated through the Alameda Recreation and Park Department Main Office by email:  arpd@alamedaca.gov or calling 510-747-7529 ext. 1.
THERE IS A LATE FEE OF $1 PER MINUTE FOR ANY RAP PARTICIPANT THAT IS PICKED UP AFTER THE LISTED PROGRAM END TIME.
Staff will notify the ARPD Main Office and your late fees will be added to your ARPD Online Account.  If a parent is habitually late (more than twice), additional fees may be imposed and/or the child may be dropped from the RAP Program.
 FOR THE SAFETY OF THE CHILD, THE ALAMEDA POLICE WILL BE CONTACTED IF YOUR CHILD IS NOT PICKED UP BY 6:00 PM

All fees must be paid a minimum of 48 business hours in advance before your child is picked up for RAP.  You must pay by the published due dates:

2025 FALL SESSION
August 20, 2025 to November 21, 2025 
2026 WINTER SESSION
December 1, 2025 to March 20, 2026
2026 SPRING SESSION
March 23, 2026 to June 4, 2026
ATTENTION ALL 3 DAY PARTICIPANTS: 
DAY CHANGES:  You must specify the days of the week your child will attend.  These days will remain the same for the full session unless you pay the $20 administrative fee to change them.
EXTRA DAYS:  You CANNOT swap any unused regular day(s) for any extra day(s).  You may add an one-time additional pick up day (outside of your regular day); there is a $23 per day charge which must be paid in full 48 business hours in advance of the date needed.

Financial Assistance will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to available funding.  Please plan accordingly for processing of Financial Assistance request.

  • ONE APPLICATION FORM PER FAMILY PER SEASON
  • Account must be in good standing with no outstanding balance
  • Financial Assistance is not available for Contract Camps or Classes

To apply, you will need to complete a Financial Assistance Program Application Form.  Supporting documents will need to be submitted along with the application.  Allow 2-3 weeks for processing.

If you have a change of schedule or the program is not working for you, credits may be granted on a prorated basis with the Supervisor’s approval. All cancellations will be assessed a $20 withdrawal fee, in addition to any prorated amounts.

Please remember that the $25 Fall Session deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE.
