The Alameda Recreation and Park Department's Preschool offers a play-based, recreational program for children ages 3 to 5 years old (Pre-Kindergarten). This program has been serving the City of Alameda for over 50 years and is a great opportunity for your child to develop their social skills while possibly making lifelong friends. Come join us as we use a variety of tools to help your child learn about the world around them through ABC's, numbers, colors, and shapes. Every day will bring a new day of discovery.
Small Fry Classes are open to those who are 3 years to 3 years, 11 months. Tiny Tot Classes are open to those who are 4 to 5 year olds, Pre-Kindergarten. We are introducing a Combination Class at Woodstock and Godfrey Parks for 3 to 5 year olds for the 2021 Fall Session. Siblings can attend this class together if they are 3 to 5 years.
ARPD Programs follow all Alameda County Health protocols.
At the time of submission, masks are still required but this may change by the Fall 2021.
Please provide details regarding your child's medical needs and/or any physical, emotional or developmental disabilities he/she may have.
Safety is of the utmost importance for all ARPD participants. Providing ARPD with this information is necessary so that we may determine if and how we can safely support your child. Accommodations are made on a case-by-case basis with a Program Supervisor.
