The CDC recommends everyone stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, including all primary series doses and boosters:

  • Everyone 6 months and older is eligible for a vaccine should get their primary vaccine series and an updated Pfizer or Moderna (bivalent) booster at least 2 months after their last dose. The updated boosters target the Omicron variant and the original virus strain.

  • COVID-19 vaccines and updated (bivalent) boosters are available at Alameda pharmacies including Walgreens, CVS, and Safeway, at myturn.ca.govand through the Alameda County Public Health Department
  • Not sure what vaccine or booster to get for children? Read more here. Call your child's doctor to see if they are giving the vaccine. Most pharmacies are only vaccinating ages 3 and up, but other resources are available.
