WHERE TO GET A VACCINE & BOOSTER SHOT

  • Free vaccines, booster shots, and second boosters are available with and without an appointment at MyTurn.ca.gov, at Alameda County locationsand at Alameda pharmacies including Walgreens, CVS, and Safeway.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR VACCINE OR BOOSTER SHOT?

  • Everyone 5 and older is eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. For children 5-11 years old, vaccines are currently available at Alameda Walgreens locations and through your pediatrician.
  • Everyone 12 and older should get a booster dose if you completed your vaccination series of Pfizer or Moderna at least 5 months ago or if you received Johnson & Johnson at least 2 months ago.
  • Adults 50 and older, individuals 12 and older who are moderately or severely immunocompromised, and people who got 2 doses of the J&J vaccine are eligible for a second booster.
