City of Alameda flags will be at half-staff on December 1, 2025 in honor of the passing of former Fire Department Division Chief Doug Clifton.
There are 250 women, men, and children living in our local shelters this holiday season. Sign up to donate jammies to these families! After you purchase, there are 3 easy ways to drop off your donation (unwrapped and labeled with family number!):
Drop off jammies at Winter Lights on Saturday, December 6
Drop off jammies at City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Ave - 3rd floor City Manager's Office, anytime Mon-Thurs 9am-5pm, by Monday, December 8 OR porch drop jammies at 3231 Bayo Vista Ave
Mail jammies to the attention of Sarah Henry at City Hall (address above) or to 3231 Bayo Vista Ave, Alameda CA 94501. Jammies need to arrive by December 8
We also need your help raising $15,000 to support 200 families as they transition out of local shelters into stable housing over the next year. The need is greater than ever before, and your donations will provide local families leaving shelters with nothing with the basics they need, like bedding, towels, and kitchen and cleaning supplies. Every dollar makes a difference.

Email Sarah Henry with any questions about the 2025 Jammie Drive. Thank you for helping care for everyone in Alameda!!
