Join us to celebrate the Central Avenue Safety Improvements Project! This project brings major safety and active transportation improvements to this former High Injury Corridor, including modern roundabouts, safer pedestrian crossings, a protected two-way bikeway, signal upgrades, traffic calming improvements, better lighting, and stormwater remediation.
Special add-on: Bike Walk Alameda will host a bike ride to the event, with a route that includes the new bikeways on Central Ave! Meet up with them on the City Hall steps at 9:30 a.m.
