Join us at the 6th annual Alameda Bike Festival & Rodeo on May 19!

 

WHO: All are welcome at this family friendly event

WHAT: Non-stop fun to inspire, educate, and encourage bicycle riding

WHERE: Otis Elementary School, 3010 Fillmore Street

WHEN: Sunday, May 19, 2019, 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

 

The Alameda Bike Festival & Rodeo is a project of Alameda County Safe Routes to Schools, the Alameda Safe Routes to School Task Force in partnership with Alameda Unified School District, Alameda Recreation and Parks Department, the City of Alameda, Kiwanis Club of Alameda, and the Alameda Elks Lodge. Festival Activities:

  • free bicycle tune-ups

  • bike rodeo to practice skills and drills

  • learn about planned bike improvements around the island

  • helmet and bike decoration station

  • helmet fittings and safety equipment giveaways (bells, lights, reflectors)

  • learn about BikeLink eLockers and sign up for a card

  • bike-blended smoothies

  • bicycle Trivia Wheel

  • free raffle prizes from local businesses including a bike donated by Alameda Bicycle

  • taco truck

     

    Pre-Festival Free Bicycle Education Classes: (registration preferred, drop-ins welcome: bikeeastbay.org/FCW)

  • Family Cycling Workshop: 9:30 am-12:00 pm

  • Learn to Ride Class: 11:00 am-12:30 pm
