Oakland Harbor Turning Basins Widening Project
Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR)

Public comment period has been extended an additional 31 days to Monday, December 18, 2023.

What is this project?

This project involves widening the existing turning basins at the Oakland Seaport. This will allow vessels to turn around more efficiently and safely upon entering and exiting the Oakland Harbor. The Port of Oakland and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers would implement this proposed project.

What is a Draft EIR?

A Draft EIR evaluates the potential environmental impacts associated with a proposed project.
