2025 Bay Area Walk4Hearing

Location: Robert W. Crown Memorial State Beach, 8th Street & Otis Drive, Alameda, CA
Schedule:
Registration – 9:00 a.m.
Stage Presentation – 10:30 a.m.
Walk Starts – 10:45 a.m.

The Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teachers at Alameda Unified School District (AUSD) are excited to invite you to Walk4Hearing on May 18!!  This will be the 4th year the event is held Alameda.  Please join us for a beautiful walk along the San Francisco Bay as we raise awareness about hearing loss.

The national organization, Hearing Loss Association of America, is planning a fun morning for us which includes:

  • Welcoming address from the Mayor of Alameda, Marilyn Ezzy Ashcraft
  • The national anthem (guest singer)
  • Group stretch warm up
  • Alameda High School cheerleaders to cheer on the walkers
  • Free Kona Ice truck
  • Free pizza at the Munch and Mingle tent
  • Free energy and hydration snacks/drinks
  • Elmo the DJ (not the muppet)
  • Face painting
  • Balloon artist
  • A huge balloon arch to kick off the walk
  • Vendor Expo on listening devices and services

Grab a walking partner!! • Bring your dog!!
