On Saturday, July 11th, from 10:30am to 4:00pm, the Alameda Free Library will launch Alameda Book Con 2026 at the Main Library, 1550 Oak Street. The library is currently looking for local creators to be part of this community showcase.

If you are a local author or a creator of book related art and would like to table at ABC 2026, please fill in the application found here. The application can also be accessed from the Library’s website. All works must be created by San Francisco Bay Area residents. Applications will be accepted up until 5pm on Sunday, May 17, 2026. More information is available on the application.

We know how creative Bay Area residents are and because of that we may have a huge influx of applications. If this is the case, due to room size constraints, we may not be able to accept every application. The Library will use a selection criteria to determine which applications are granted for this year to keep the selection as balanced as possible.

If you need more information about this event, please email the library at ChildRef@alamedaca.gov and use ABC 2026 in the subject line.

This free program is made possible through the generosity of Friends of the Alameda Free Library. The Main Library is located at 1550 Oak Street and is served by AC Transit routes 21 and 51A. Bicycle parking racks are available, and the library is wheelchair accessible. For more information on library programs, visit our online calendar or contact the library at 510-747-7700.

The City of Alameda will not discriminate against individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its services, programs, or activities. If you need accessibility accommodations to participate, or information in other formats, please contact ada@alamedaca.gov.
