Alameda Book Con (ABC 2026)

The Alameda Free Library is proud to present Alameda Book Con (ABC) 2026, a free community literary event showcasing local authors, illustrators, and book-related artists from across the San Francisco Bay Area. The event will take place on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Main Library, located at 1550 Oak Street in Alameda, CA. 

ABC 2026 is designed to celebrate the creativity and diversity of Bay Area storytellers while connecting readers of all ages with local literary talent through exhibits, author interactions, and community engagement. The event offers attendees the opportunity to discover new books, meet creators, and support the Bay Areas’ vibrant literary arts community. Featured among the over 40 exhibitors will be Alan Barillaro, Edna Cabcabin Moran, Vincent Chu, Jerry Connors, Brian Copeland, Janet Dawson, Meg Elison, Abbie Harlow, Briana Loewinsohn, Thien Pham, and many others Alameda readers will recognize and enjoy.

This free program is made possible through the generosity of Friends of the Alameda Free Library. The Main Library is located at 1550 Oak Street and is served by AC Transit routes 21 and 51A. Bicycle parking racks are available, and the library is wheelchair accessible.  

Parking Information 

Visitors are encouraged to park at the Civic Center Parking Structure, located at: 

1416 Oak Street Alameda, CA 94501. The parking structure is conveniently located adjacent to the Alameda Theatre and just a short walk from the Main Library, providing easy access to Alameda Book Con 2026.
