The City’s annual street repair is scheduled to begin in early July and be completed by the end of the month. Although we will do our best to minimize disruptions, there will be traffic, parking, dust, noise, and other minor construction impacts. Construction work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Safety protocols required by Cal/OSHA for construction will be implemented at all times. Bus stop access will be maintained throughout the project.
The annual street repairs include two types of repair work: 1) rubber chip seal with an overlay of slurry seal which will protect the existing asphalt pavement and extend its useful life; and 2) crack sealing.
The Chuck Corica Golf Course parking lot will be treated with a rubber chip seal and then a slurry seal over the rubber chip seal. The rubber chip seal will impact parking lot availability for a short period. The next phase, about a week later, will be when the slurry seal is applied. Access to the parking lot will be prohibited for several hours while the slurry seal cures. The last phase of the work will involve replacing all pavement markings.
The following streets only require crack sealing to prevent water infiltration and extend the useful life of the roadway:
