Bike our Island on May 9!
Join a thousand Alamedans for Bike to Work & School Day this Thursday, May 9 -- the biggest bike day of the year. Commuters can pedal by one of five “energizer stations” across the island for a free reusable bag filled with goodies. Students at nine of the island’s elementary and middle schools have exciting morning celebrations planned.
Biking is a healthy commute choice for us and our planet. Alameda’s five energizer stations will be open from 6:30 am to 9:00 am (ferry terminal stations will open at 6:15 am). Find more information, pledge to ride, and learn about Bike Walk Alameda’s After Work Party at www.bikewalkalameda.org.
Energizer station locations in Alameda include:
Harbor Bay Ferry Terminal at 299 Adelphian Way
Bay Farm Island Bicycle Bridge at Otis Dr and Fernside Blvd
Park Street at 1365 Park St (on Central Avenue corner)
