The City of Alameda, through its Base Reuse and Economic Development Department, has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the sale of Building 92, a historic property located at 650 West Ranger Avenue in Alameda Point, a former World War II era Naval Air Station. This 89,000-square-foot commercial building, situated on a 3-acre site, presents a prime opportunity for adaptive reuse in a growing area.

Building 92 is part of Alameda Point’s ongoing redevelopment and is located near successful adaptive reuse projects including the Storehouse Lofts, Building 91 housing Almanac Beer Co. and The Rake at Admiral Maltings, The Hub pickleball sports club and SoFive soccer center, and two built and approved residential communities totaling approximately 1400 homes. The City is seeking buyers with proposals that align with its economic development goals and offer significant community benefits.

Proposals will be evaluated on purchase offer competitiveness, financial strength, buyer’s experience with adaptive reuse, and alignment with the City’s goals. Property tours are available by appointment through March 31, 2025. The proposal deadline is April 1, 2025, at Noon Pacific Time.
