Alameda Crime Graphics Provides Centralized Location for Crime Information
The Alameda Police Department is pleased to unveil Alameda Crime Graphics, our new interactive crime management system. The new system gives our residents a centralized location to view crime trends and see what’s happening in their neighborhoods.
APD launched Crime Graphics as part of our continued efforts to promote transparency and enhance community policing. The new program allows users to map, visualize and analyze crime patterns, obtain information on daily law enforcement activities, review arrest logs, and request directed patrol. Residents can also register locations of personal security cameras.
Last month, APD announced it was in the process of transitioning to a new report management system. City of Alameda IT personnel, records service specialists, and communications center staff collaborated on this effort to provide comprehensive statistics.
Please note that Crime Mapping and Daily Activity Logs, will no longer be utilized. The Daily Activity Logs will be replaced with Daily Media Bulletins that can be accessed directly from the Crime Graphics website and will no longer be available in PDF format on the City of Alameda’s webpage. Alameda’s Crime Graphic site went live on March 26, 2021. Data in the department’s new system prior to March 21st is either unavailable or incomplete.
