Emergency Closure in the Webster Tube for Fire Inspection (State Route 260)

Alameda County – Caltrans will implement a nighttime one lane closure in the Webster Tube tonight, to support emergency maintenance work, including fire line inspections inside the tunnel. This work is necessary to ensure the ongoing safety and reliability of the facility for the traveling public. To protect workers and motorists, Caltrans will close one lane of the Webster Tube (Oakland to Alameda direction).

Closure Schedule

• Friday, June 5 (tonight)
• 11:00 PM – 5:00 AM

Detour & Access Changes

• Broadway entrance: CLOSED
• 7th Street entrance: OPEN
• Detour signs will be in place directing traffic to 7th Street

Be Work Zone Alert and expect travel delays.
