Park Street between San Jose Avenue and Webb Avenue will be restriped this month. Similar to the recent changes on Webster Street, this project will improve access for motor vehicles, persons with disabilities, commercial loading, transit, bicyclists, and pedestrians.

What’s New?

  • Easier Parking: On-street parking will return to the curb.
  • Clear Markings: Designated disabled and short-term parking spaces will be added. Red curbs will indicate areas where no parking is permitted at any time. Double parking in bike lanes is always prohibited, and violators will be ticketed.
  • Parklet Protection: Green concrete barriers will be installed to protect existing parklets.
  • Safer Cycling: Painted bike lanes will be added, and in-street bike racks will be upgraded to maximize storage for all types of bicycles.

Most construction will take place overnight, Monday through Friday, to minimize the impact on local businesses and daytime traffic. The road will not be closed to traffic, but road users may experience disruptions in travel routes, temporary loss of parking spaces, noise, and dust. Access for emergency vehicles will always be maintained.

The City appreciates your cooperation and patience during this construction period.
