The City’s Sewage Pump Station Renovations for Reliability and Safety Improvements project will begin on September 8, 2020 and is estimated to be completed by August 2021. Construction work hours are restricted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. near school locations, Monday through Friday. The work will consist of rehabilitating seven (7) sewage lift stations at the following locations:
Lift Station/Street Address
Catalina/1849 Aughinbaugh Way Harbor Parkway 1/1303 Harbor Bay Parkway Park Otis/2130 South Shore Center Drive Grand Otis/1700 Grand Street Paru Otis/690 Paru Street Cola Ballena/1241 Ballena Boulevard Marina Village/713 Marina Village Parkway
The contractor will place “No Parking” signs 72-hours in advance of when the work will begin and parking restrictions will become effective.
The contractor will work to keep one lane of traffic open at all times, but motorists and residents may experience minor disruptions in traffic, temporary loss of on-street parking, an increase in noise levels, and dust during construction.
The City appreciates your cooperation and patience, and apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this project may cause. Questions or information regarding the project should be directed to Shilpa Patel at (510) 747-7945. This project is funded by Sewer Enterprise Fund.
