Today, the Bay Area region's ICU bed capacity dropped to 3.5%. The State is expected to provide an update this Saturday, January 9, and is expected to extend the current Regional Stay at Home order, which will remain in effect until lifted by the State. For the order to be lifted, the State’s projections must show that the Bay Area region is expected to meet or exceed 15% ICU capacity in the next 4 weeks.

We are experiencing the biggest surge of COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the pandemic. 233 cases have been reported in the City of Alameda since 12/25. Please stay home, wear a mask if you must leave for essential activities, and stop the surge.
